Among the historic villas of greatest cultural interest in Rivoli is Villa Fiorito, a composite palace located in via Al Castello n. 28, dating back in its oldest parts to the 17th century. The site is in a strategic position: it enjoys an incomparable panoramic view towards the Castle and towards the Val di Susa. The main entrance on the road is immediately striking, consisting of a portal framed by two marble columns surmounted by ancient vases and late Baroque pediments. The main facade of the building overlooks the internal courtyard and has an eighteenth-century layout, with a portico on Doric columns partially walled up in the last century. The pictorial decoration of the facades combines the Rococo taste for the trompe l'oeil of pergolas, fake windows, illusory idyllic glimpses of imaginary landscapes, festoons and plant garlands, with the romantic one for the Gothic remains. The main internal staircase with parapet and balustrade in natural stone is also clearly eighteenth-century style.
The renovation and careful restoration of the Villa involved the subdivision of the rooms for the creation of prestigious apartments where some of the rooms still have clearly visible frescoed ceilings. The monumental staircase that connects the 3 floors of the villa has been maintained in its authenticity by recovering and restoring the original paintings, floors, railings and doors. The facades have been maintained as they were originally, highlighting the valuable details. The apartment advertised is located on the second floor, with the possibility of joining the attic above to the floor. The large accommodation extends over the entire second floor and is divided into a main corridor which leads to the different rooms: three bedrooms each with a balcony, two bathrooms, a lounge and a kitchen with adjoining terrace. The apartments created in the Villa are accessible from the main courtyard by entering the atrium on the ground floor and taking the monumental staircase or via a glass lift located in the veranda created from the ancient portico on the facade.
