We are located in the second court of the Milion, between the Malibran Theater, dating back to the end of the 1600s, and the ancient residence of Marco Polo. We pass the "sotoportego" and we come across a small cross bridge that crosses the rio de La Fava, one of the main passageways for gondolas. We look up and we realize that an ancient Venetian palace stands out in front of us: the six Gothic windows on the second noble floor, directly facing the romantic rio, catch our attention. Crossing the bridge, we find the entrance door of the building. Once inside we perceive the importance of the building, both for its historical and monumental nature. In fact, the large entrance leads, on the left, to an internal courtyard where we find a warehouse and the water door; on the right instead we have the sumptuous and elegant stone staircase, flanked by an exclusive lift. So let's go up to the second floor and enter the apartment: a large entrance area opens up in front of us, which leads, via an elegant hallway, to the very bright living room which looks directly onto the river. This room is embellished with a sumptuous glass chandelier and a period parquet floor. To our right we have a spacious bedroom and the first bathroom, while to the left of the living room we find another room with a parquet floor, with geometric patterns. Continuing we enter the dining room, communicating with the kitchen and another bathroom. We conclude our itinerary with the last room, which takes us back to the entrance of this large and elegant apartment: a wonderful home to customize, in the very heart of Venice, where large, light-filled rooms give life to the most authentic Venetian atmosphere.
The Castello district, the largest and among the oldest in Venice, is located at the eastern end of the city.
