It is a unique neoclassical house, built on the ancient walls of Rizokastro - the wall of the Medieval fortification of Athens, (Rizo-kastro means Root-castle) which was named because its location is at the root of the castle - which are visible in various parts of the house, as well as several other archeological finds, 270 in number, which have been properly revealed and highlighted, while another 82 finds have been collected by the Archaeological Authority.
It was built in 1830, while it has been completely reconstructed in 1998 and transformed into a modern elegant house of high aesthetics. It occupies a plot of 315 m² and the total space is 255 m², which is developed on two levels. On the ground level are 3 bedrooms – the one is master, with second, private entrance and bathroom - and an open plan dining and kitchen area with several storage spaces. Upstairs is the main living room, the main dining room, another master bedroom with its own bathroom and also a second private entrance, a daily living room and two office areas - one large and one smaller. From this level there is access to a balcony, an outdoor area – veranda - as well as the rooftop terrace located above with an exceptional panoramic view of the Acropolis of Lycabettus and the houses of Plaka. Also noteworthy is the courtyard of the house with a beautiful garden, with a total area of 188 m², which is developed on various levels and hosts various outdoor living rooms, which enjoy the breathtaking view of the Acropolis!
