One of the most striking symbols of our parish is the Palm Tree, existing in the Church Church Church, which figures even in a prominent place in the heraldry of our municipality.
The palm tree in the Church was offered by Manuel dos Santos Polonio, resident in Quinta do Meu Sonho, having been plucked and planted by Manuel Rodrigues and Julio Leiro, then workers of that Farm, and transported by Joao Patarata, of the Barreiros, in a wagon.
