Jesi (ancona, marche): “villa dei gigli”: history, beauty and nature in a refined home where taste and enjoyment of precious environments marry a park of about 7,700 sqm.
“villa dei gigli” is a peculiar neighbor and refined of the well-known villa baldeschi-balleani of fontedamo (property of the noble balleani family since 1600) and can probably be traced back, in origin, to the first half of the 1800s. It was, until 1977/78, the home of the caretakers who in time they took care of villa balleani, with which "villa dei gigli" experienced the economic-social history of the territory and of that area in particular, very lively, between the 19th and 20th centuries, also from the point of view of activity entrepreneurial activity in mulberry cultivation and textiles. It was also a witness to that bucolic and relaxing life that nobles sought, especially from the renaissance onwards, in country residences, no less studied and cared for than those in the city centre. Cross the gate of "villa dei gigli", discovering the large courtyard, slowly the elegant physiognomy of the villa, and catching a glimpse of the maternal nature that embraces it is a great emotion. What is immediately striking is the sober shape in the architectural lines, the exposed bricks, the absence of excessive decoration but at the same time the particularity of a second floor which recalls shapes and elements attributable to religious buildings and which perhaps revises the aesthetic concept of the central maggot in aristocratic key and elegant spaces. The renovation of the 1980s revised the entire property from the point of view of the roof, beams, systems, fixtures, doors and floors, in a conservative key and with the use of the highest quality materials and great names in italian craftsmanship. It is no coincidence that this renovation also included the inclusion of precious elements such as the clock on the front and, at the top, the two bells, created by master clockmakers and expert bell ringers with experience that began in 1824. The central door leads us welcomes us by telling us of ancient vestiges: on it we see, in fact, in addition to the classic nine-pointed crown (heraldic symbol of the counts), a noble coat of arms which leads back to that of the ancient and noble guglielmi family (originally from siena and of which a branch established in jesi in the second half of the 15th century), which between 1716 and 1726 became guglielmi-balleani, when gaetano guglielmi was appointed heir of niccolò balleani, the last representative of the ancient jesi family. In fact, on the coat of arms we recognize the obelisk (or spire) crowned and accompanied by two lilies, one in the left canton of the head and the other in the right canton of the tip, and the band on the whole. Once we have crossed the threshold, the entrance leaves us glimpse the elegant iron staircase, of refined workmanship, which leads to the first floor and the doors which introduce us to the many spaces of the large representative ground floor, where the large...--037b6e2fee8bec5d4eefe0196d61e7e7!
