Monforte d'Alba (one of the most beautiful villages in Italy) is an Italian town in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. It is part of the 11 Barolo production municipalities. The name derives from the walls of the castle that surrounded the top (Mons Fortis) and the medieval town.
