Tossa de Mar is one of the most enchanting and magical towns of the Costa Brava, with a medieval old town, it has been known for the filming of Pandora and the flying Dutchman, starring Ava Gardner (full size statue in the castle of Tossa) and James Mason.
Another celebrity known to have summered in Tossa de Mar is Marc Chagall (French painter of Belarusian origin), both Ava Gardner and Marc Chagall have been honored in the city.
It is surrounded by one of the best beaches of the Costa Brava, and dreamy beaches, it offers a wide range of possibilities for either water sports and hiking or cycling.
Tossa de Mar is located about 40 minutes from Girona airport and an hour and a half from the Prat Airport in Barcelona. It is about 45 minutes away from the natural park of Montseny, and close to golf clubs and the water park in Lloret de Mar.
