The municipality of Barban is located near the east coast of Istria, southwest of the Raša River and northwest of the Raška Bay. It is 20-30 kilometers from the cities on the sea coast (Pula, Porec, Rovinj, Labin, Rabac), and about 20 kilometers from the center of the Istrian County, Pazin. The municipality of Barban borders the municipalities of Pican, Sveta Nedelja, Raša, Marcana, Svetvincenat, Žminj and Gracišce, and is well connected with all of them. It is well connected by traffic, and the main roads are: the former main road Pula-Rijeka, and the regional roads Barban - Žminj and Barban - Vodnjan.
