ISTRIA, MOTOVUN - multi-storey building in the center of Motovun
In the northern part of Istria, above the valley of the river Mirna, on a conical hill located at 277 meters above sea level, lies probably the most famous and most attractive Istrian medieval town - Motovun. The town has preserved its medieval appearance even today. The city itself is divided into three parts, and its specificity is two rows of walls. In Motovun, there are Andrea Antia Square and Josef Ressel Square, which is designed as a lookout point and offers a view of beautiful landscapes. The longest staircase in Croatia leads to the town with 1052 stairs. In addition to numerous cultural and historical sights, Motovun and its surroundings can boast of numerous vineyards and famous winemakers, recreational facilities that allow active recreation. Motovun forest is a habitat of Istrian truffles, and the most famous event is the Motovun Film Festival.
In the center of Motovun is a house of 250 m2. The house is spread over five floors, each of which has 50 m2. The house consists of six rooms, two of which are bedrooms. Two larger rooms are located in the attic of the house which can also be arranged as two functional rooms. In the basement there is a tavern lined with stone. From the tavern there is an exit to the terrace of 40 m2. Thanks to the large number of windows, the house has plenty of light and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. The building needs to be renovated. Thanks to the large number of rooms, this house is ideal for large families or as a potential object used for tourist purposes.
