«Maria's Stone-built Detached Cottage» is a masterpiece! It is nestled within a contemporary traditional settlement at a site affording panoramic views to the picturesque natural setting of Paros against the emerald-blue Aegean Sea backdrop. It is some 10 minutes away from the harbour of «Piso Livadi» and about five minutes' drive from the nearest seafront. Drios is a traditional village that stretches along the southeast coastline of Paros island. It is nestled within lush vegetation, due to its abundance of water, and crops. It is 22 km away from Paroikia, the capital of Paros island and 18 km from Naoussa. Drios seaside is in pristine and unspoilt condition and offers a small pier on the shore and a couple of beaches covered with fine pebbles intermingled with sheer sand, and tamarisk trees. Drios seaboard overlooks a small islet called «Drionissi» which was named after Drios village. When the horizon is clear one may gaze as far as Ios island. Taking the coastal path towards north-eastern for 10 minutes on foot, one may reach the famous beaches «Golden Beach» (in Greek «Chryssi Akti») and «Lolantonis Beach». Carrying on walking along the same trail, one may get as far as the harbour of «Pisso Livadi» passing through 5 different beaches on his way. There are some more touristy attractions such as the «Cave of Kalambaki or of the Demons» (in Greek «E Spilia tou Kalambaki é ton Demonon») a panorama of both stalactites and stalagmites, the lakes of Drios, the ancient «neosoics» (in Greek «neosoeke» which means shipsheds where ships might be constructed, might be repaired or might be laid up in winter), the picturesque settlement of «Aspro Chorio» (it means «white village») located above Drios, the ruins of a prehistoric settlement, e.t.c..
