On the corner of Via San Lorenzino, a street where the cobblestone path has been completely renovated recently, we discover this charming building with only 4 residential units. Our two apartments are located on the second and third, as well as the top floor, the entrance and the staircase only serve these two residential units.
Once inside you have the sensation of being isolated from the rest of the world and dazzled by the light.
The view of the lower city from both apartments is spectacular, furthermore there are two small balconies where you can admire and enjoy splendid views, giving the sensation of being suspended.
The floors are in Venetian terrazzo and antique parquet laid in a herringbone pattern and various fireplaces have been positioned.
The current subdivision has a large entrance hall, separate kitchen, lounge dining room, lounge, three bedrooms and two bathrooms with windows.
The position of undisputed beauty offers our eyes spectacular buildings, such as the majestic Liceo Paolo Sarpi, the southern door of the entrance to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore known as dei Leoni Bianchi and the building dedicated to the University of languages.
The enviable location, just two minutes from Piazza Vecchia, with a view that will leave you amazed, ensure moments of privacy and comfort for these two original housing solutions.
Context description:
The Upper Town of Bergamo is one of the most famous cities in Lombardy, it dates back to the Middle Ages and is still enclosed in the Venetian walls, the result of the long domination of Venice.
The strategic position of the Upper Town gives it a particular charm, so much so that coming from Milan you can quickly recognize it, with its mix of stone buildings that fit perfectly into the surrounding environmental context.
The best known and busiest part of Bergamo Alta is Piazza Vecchia, with the Contarini Fountain, the Palazzo della Ragione, the Civic tower (called the Campanone), which still today at 10pm fires 100 shots (those which in the past announced the nightly closing of the doors of the Venetian walls and the other buildings that surround it on all sides).
Imposing, on the side opposite the Palazzo della Ragione, the large white building of the Palazzo Nuovo which houses the Angelo Mai civic library. The Palazzo della Ragione is also equipped with a portico that connects Piazza Vecchia to Piazza del Duomo, where you can find places of worship such as the Cathedral of S. Alessandro, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colleoni Chapel.
In this corner of paradise between historic places, internal parks and lively places, conferences, including international ones, are organized every day and evening; meeting moments dedicated to culture, catering, theatre, dance as well as design with the masters of landscape, an event which mostly takes place in Piazza Vecchia.
The upper city is divided into various streets, one in particular which takes you on foot, or comfortably with another funicular, to San Vigilio, where there is the castle of Bergamo, also in this place the 360 degree view makes its park magical and relaxing.--9a083181123b859f78c3f008b49bd520!
