Eupilio is a town of about 2,700 inhabitants and is about 16km from the Larian capital. It rises on the slopes of Mount Cornizzolo, at an altitude between 258 and 1,140 m asl, in a pre-alpine area full of lakes and located in the heart of the upper Brianza, in a strategic position between the cities of Como, Milan and Lecco. Located between the municipalities of Eupilio, Canzo and Longone al Segrino is the Segrino lake, a small Lombard pre-Alpine lake of glacial origin. It is famous for the quality of its waters and for its happy and peaceful location, which inspired many nineteenth-century writers. In the vicinity there are three other lakes: the lake of Pusiano, of Annone and of Alserio. Eupilio is about 50 km from the Milan and Orio al Serio airports.
