Discrete entrance to the building (without elevator) dated 1467 of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The palace and the adjacent one have a prestigious history, having belonged directly to a Pope, as demonstrated by certified documents. Pope Alexander VI Borja was the lover of Vannozza de' Cattanei, who bore him three children: Cesare, Jofre and Lucrezia Borgia, whose chronicles fill countless fascinating books and films.
The frescoes on the facade, a masterpiece of exquisite beauty by Polidoro da Caravaggio, who worked with Raphael on the Vatican Loggias, depict scenes from Roman history. In the second building there is a scratched depiction of a Moorish King, owner of a famous inn. Both facades have been carefully restored by the private owners, under the protection of the Italian Ministry of Fine Arts. The drawings and other masterpieces of Polidoro da Caravaggio are exhibited at the Louvre Museum in Paris, at the National Gallery in London and are part of the British Royal Collection.

Walking along Via del Pellegrino, as the Pilgrims did and crossing the Tiber you can reach Castel Sant'Angelo and San Pietro in a few minutes. The street, like the nearby ones, is full of shops and workshops. jewellers, antique dealers and bookshops.
