A walk to do the shopping among the stalls of Rialto is a tradition - and a small pleasure! - for those who, like us, are lucky enough to live in Venice. Rialto is in fact one of the oldest insular settlements in the Venetian lagoon (Rivoalto) as well as being the site, since 1097, of one of the oldest markets in Italy. Everything arrived at Rialto: from the import and export of precious goods such as spices, silks and precious metals, to the foodstuffs that arrived from the islands or from the mainland, up to the retail trade of wine, vegetables, fruit, fish. We go there again today, unhurriedly and with our senses open as befits these places, to discover our new property, which can be easily reached via the stairs that lead us to the first floor. The comfortable entrance leads us into the large living room: it seems made to relax after our walk, we immediately appreciate the precious floors, perfectly preserved and in Venetian style. Crossing the living room we find a first bedroom equipped with a walk-in closet with window. Returning to the living room, now heading to the opposite side, we find a second and large bedroom. The eat-in kitchen and the two bathrooms, one of which has a window, complete the property. On the way out, we decide to go back to Rialto, and we consider that it is an ideal solution as a first or second home: its size and access without bridges from the vaporetto stop are further assets, certainly of interest!
The district of San Polo is centrally located in the heart of Venice. We are located near Campo dei Frari and in the vicinity of Campo S. Polo and Rialto, a sought-after and convenient location also for means of transport and just a few minutes from Piazzale Roma and the railway.
The property is located in the district of San Polo, a few steps from the beautiful Rialto Market, Campo della Pescaria and the Grand Canal. This part of the San Polo district, lively and serviced, makes this property very suitable both as a first home but could also represent an excellent investment opportunity.
