This beautiful Tuscan farmhouse was built in 1750 for three families who were responsible for managing the cultivation of the surrounding land.
It stands amidst Etruscan ruins, in fact, the surrounding countryside was part of the state of the Etruscans of Volterra and from 1700 of the Barons of Casaglia. It was within its woods that a tomb dating back to a powerful Etruscan family was found in 1932. This tomb is now in the archaeological museum in Cecina. For this reason, today, part of the surrounding forest is under cultural heritage protection.
After World War II, the house remained 'uninhabited' until it was conservatively restored in 2008 to maintain the authenticity of the structure and the materials used.
This old farmhouse with its 360 degree view over the Tuscan countryside consists of a main body of 680 sqm on two levels and two smaller annexes , in all we have 7 flats of various sizes .
Some of the ground-floor flats have a private, fenced garden, outdoor patio with table and chairs and breathtaking views over the Tuscan countryside.
This is enhanced by a beautiful swimming pool, with hydro-massage and aero-massage, where you can relax while admiring the fascinating landscape. The 100 hectares of cultivated land create a private and peaceful atmosphere.
The property is 15 km from the beaches, which means you can reach the sandy or rocky beaches of Castiglioncello in 20 minutes by car.
Near the property there are several medieval villages to visit such as: Volterra, Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, Castellina Marittima, Montescudaio, San Giminiano, Siena, Pisa... . During holiday periods they offer shows and festivals not to be missed!
