Casa Del Monastero is a stone house perched on the side of a hill overlooking a breath-taking view, painted with the area's mountains, castles and turrets. The property comprises of two floors that currently form two separate living units, connected by an external staircase each level has various exits to spacious panoramic terraces and garden areas via characteristic wooden doors.
The ground floor offers a spacious living room connected to a panoramic dining room, three en-suite bedrooms and a fully equipped functional, modern kitchen. This leads to a large beamed, stone-built loggia where you can enjoy the summer days under shade. Original exposed beams and carefully maintained terracotta floors run throughout the house.
An external stone staircase leads to the upper floor, which includes a kitchen with balcony, spacious living-room and two large en-suite bedrooms. On this floor, the slanting ceilings resemble those of a mountain retreat and create a cosy and warm ambience.
The house is surrounded by a multilevel stone paved terrace, making Casa Del Monastero very picturesque. A wooden staircase outside leads to the pool terrace with a large swimming pool, 4 x 16 metres, the best spot from which to enjoy the stunning panorama. Bordered by forest, the house offers tall cypress trees, olive trees, and many other plants all requiring low maintenance.
Casa Del Monastero is 20 minutes from the first nearby towns, such as Pietralunga and Umbertide, which guarantees maximum privacy and tranquillity. However, a short walk away is an excellent panoramic restaurant and the historic San Faustino Abbey.
