Pisa In an ancient village rich in wonders and food and wine traditions there is an ancient palace in fair conservative conditions, whose renovation dates back to around the mid-90s.
The area where the property is located is known for its thermal springs, recognized for its excellent healing properties as early as 1100. This place, in fact, was associated with the expression Acqua Mathelda (from the name of Countess Matilde of Canossa) since it was said that it could make you rejuvenate. According to legend, the Countess had an elderly and sore blackbird which, by diving into this hot water, managed to rejuvenate.
The palace is spread over 3 levels for a total of approximately 575 m2.
On the ground floor there is the entrance , which leads to a small waiting room, adjacent to the kitchen equipped with a serving hatch for the two dining rooms (one small and one spacious with cross ceilings) which are artistically decorated with beautiful frescoes, a service bathroom, some the small rooms can be used as storage rooms and a garage with access from the main road; on the first floor there is an important hall completely frescoed with hunting scenes and Tuscan landscapes, the room which takes on a leading role is well lit by two spacious windows, the floor concludes with a dining room, living room with working fireplace, small kitchen, a study , three bedrooms and two bathrooms; the second and last floor offers numerous spaces to be used as bedrooms (it is possible to create 5-6). The property concludes with a spacious attic and a terrace from which it is possible to admire a breathtaking panorama of the ancient town which preserves the imposing structures of the Renaissance fortress, formerly the residence of the Florentine Vicars. Leaving the building there is a small threshing floor paved with ancient stones and approximately 5,000 m2 of land with some cliffs, within which a small swimming pool can be built. Finally, a cellar with "magical flavours" could not be missing, excellent for aging wine. Very interesting property both as a private home with the possibility of creating up to 3 separate residential units, and to be used as a hospitality business such as renting luxury rooms or similar
