Masseria - farmhouse located about 5 km from the sandy beaches of Pescoluse, located on the top of a small hill from which you can admire the sea of the renowned beaches of Lido Marini and Pescoluse. Masseria "Monaci" was designed by the architect Carlo Luigi Arditi who concentrated all his professional activity in the extreme peninsula of the Terra d'Otranto, the centers where he left his mark most are S. Maria di Leuca, Casarano, Acquarica del Capo and Presicce.
Built for the Seracca brothers in 1884.
The structure vaguely recalls the typology of a castle with two cylindrical turrets at the corners, the rest of the façade of the building is very simple and linear. oriental "since the facade of the building was characterized by the alternation of horizontal lines of yellow and dark red stones (even if by now this particularity can only be glimpsed). The center of the property which is about 40 hectares, the land is characterized by woods, Mediterranean scrub and fruit trees. The covered area is 400 sq m + sq m. 160 to be recovered from a building not far away, there are also several typical local buildings called “pajare” on the property.
