In a pleasant and reserved context but only a few kilometres from the well-known and characteristic town of Sarteano, we offer this beautiful stone and plaster farmhouse. The house is positioned on an ancient rock that allows a panoramic view of the entire Val d'Orcia. The property measures 450 sqm, is on two levels, has a large and perfectly maintained garden with a Jacuzzi in the most panoramic point of the property. The house is also close to the ancient abbey of Spineto, and its grounds include an ancient road used in the past by the monks. Included in the property is a plot of land of approximately 14.5 hectares. Possibility to build a swimming pool.
Location
Sarteano is an ancient village dating back to Etruscan times. In fact the village is famous for its numerous Etruscan tombs and the Etruscan museum, which are currently open to visitors. A very important event is the Civitas Infernalis, where for a week the village descends into medieval times thanks to themed events and concerts. However, the most famous event followed by all the citizens of the village and neighbouring towns is the Saracen Joust at mid-August, a medieval event that challenges five ancient contrade (districts) to a race with horses, a pole and a ring. The joust is much more, young people and adults together parading, jousting and flag-waving in medieval clothes, an experience to be lived.
