Traditional Alentejo estate with 16,275 m². Located in the parish of Mosteiros, in the municipality of Arronches, in the district of Portalegre. The property is divided into four cadernetes and, in accordance with current legislation, there is the possibility of building and extending the existing construction.
It has a rustic house that has been restored using the original materials used when it was built, with a porch that is ideal for enjoying country life. This house consists of three bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a mezzanine, with plenty of comfort.
Excellent sun exposure to the south with unobstructed views over the Alentejo countryside, where you can enjoy a unique sunset from the porch.
It has piped water, electricity and media services such as television and internet.
The estate is made up of cork oak forests with more than 1,500 arrobas of cork, which translates into extra income. It has several olive groves, fruit trees with a cultivation area, prepared with drip irrigation and land prepared for organic farming, and is covered by IFAP (Instituto de Financiamento da Agricultura e Pescas) subsidies.
The estate has a natural spring and two water dams supplied by a stream that runs through the property. It has a legal borehole 75 metres deep with plenty of water.
In this sense, the hill has five possible activities:
1- Livestock farming
The estate has sheep farming. The land is easy to access and plough, allowing for various sowings and natural grazing. It is divided into grazing plots, allowing for easy management of animal feeding.
2 - Tourism
The estate is located in the heart of the Serra de Sao Mamede Natural Park and is part of a group of historic towns such as Marvao, Castelo de Vide, Cabeco de Vide, Alter do Chao, among other tourist sites in the Alto Alentejo and Spain.
3- Equines
The characteristics of the hill are perfect for keeping horses. There is water in a stream and easy access for transport and vets. The possibility of setting up stables, open and peaceful terrain for practising this activity.
4- Agriculture
The estate has a legalised artesian borehole and dams, with plenty of water, including a stream. The land has several fruit trees, olive groves, cork oak forests, as well as a drip cultivation area and is prepared for organic farming.
5- Ornithology
The estate is part of the birdwatching circuit. This is a type of sustainable tourism related to the conservation of species; with the promotion of information and environmental education; where there is awareness of sustainable development, causing a reduction in stress for practitioners.
