Architectural Gem!
Historically Architecture Feast is what this once-upon-a-time private Villa represents, today operated as exclusive B&B, with separate private quarters.
The renovation of the property after more than 50 years of neglect, has been very carefully done to bring back its formal glory. The owner is very keyed on details and with great love has brought this property to its former glory.
Walking through this 210 m2 Villa built sometimes in the 1920th, divided between 3 floors, you will be stunned by the detailed high vaulted ceilings and light flooding through the tall (renovated) windows with original (renovated) wood shutters as soon as you walking in. At the main entry, the original decorative tiled flooring lays at your feet. In the now used Breakfast room, originally the Dining room, wide-plank wood flooring covers the floor and beautifully decorated ceiling is highlighting the room.
On the same main floor, the largest room, once the living room/drawing room, is today used as a guest room called "The Kings room". One of the many highlights of this room are the French doors leading you out to the exquisite private balcony overlooking the mature and very quite garden.
Another highlight in the room is the ceiling, and of course the exquisite gold and black wallpaper. It's truly a room fit for a King.
Continuing walking the main floor, you will find a smartly renovated bathroom and separate WC. The once-upon-a-time kitchen is also located on this level with an opening directly to the breakfast/dining room. Unfortunately, the kitchen has not gone through the full renovation and is still in need to be taken care off. A door from this kitchen-to-be leading straight out to the back side of the house that has an area already prepared for a full outdoor kitchen with BBQ and plenty of room to place a large dining table for an alfresco experience.
Walking up the original wooden staircase you will see and can touch the original elongated rectangular terracotta building bricks - bricks that was used only for those clients that had a healthy construction budget to afford them - a piece of history literally at your fingertips!
The upper floor, once again with high vaulted decorative ceilings, you will find 2 separate bedrooms - one on suite - both with private balconies with glories views of the mountains surrounding this property.
Both bathroom on this level are renovated to todays high standards and demands, to include towel warmers and large walk-in showers with high-end plumbing fixtures.
At the ground floor, with a decorated private custom iron and glass entry door, is the private quarters. Today the home of the owner. A studio with custom built kitchenette and a custom made, extra deep "soaking" bathtub. The studio has an open floorplan, high ceilings, is fully equipped with original stone covered vaulted openings and heated (water) flooring.
Today this Villa goes by the name "Bela Adormecida" - Sleeping Beauty - a 5* rated B&B.
