On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of aviator Auguste Maïcon, born in Villefranche in 1891, the commune is paying tribute to this great pilot, a pioneer in aviation. The son of a grocer, he was on familiar terms with both the sky and the greats of this world.
