BENTLEY SPEED EDITION 12

This limited edition pays tribute to the British manufacturer’s iconic W12, an engine available on the Bentayga, Flying Spur, Continental GT and Continental GTC. Just 120 models of each of these four Edition 12 vehicles are scheduled for production.

The name “Edition 12” comes on badges inside and out, footplates, seat stitching, a dashboard overlay and, of course, on the numbered engine. 22’’ black alloy wheels and silver-painted brake calipers evoke high performance and indicate that the car belongs to the limited edition.

For the occasion, a new grey-green colour with coppery undertones called “Opalite” is proposed as an exclusive option. On board Bentleys since 2003, today’s most popular 12-cylinder engine will see its production come to an end in April 2024, following production of 100,000 units and two decades of good and loyal service.

In a limited edition benefiting from one of Bentley’s latest W12 engines, Speed Edition 12 cars could well go down in history as marking the end of a glorious era.

The “W” configuration of the 6-liter W12 twinturbo engine allows it to be 24 % shorter without sacrificing any of its efficiency. Over the years, its performance has increased by 37 % and its torque by 54 %, while its emissions have been reduced by 25 %.

It now produces up to 659 hp. The interior is handcrafted and, for ambiance, the owner can choose from Beluga black, either plain or with Brunel blue, Cricketball red, linen or orange. In all cases, the veneer will be ultra-smooth Grand Black. The upper parts of the seats are quilted and bear Edition 12 embroidery. n
