Ferrari 296 GTS, a hybrid open to the sky
The 120° V6 engine coupled with a plug-in electric motor delivers up to 830 hp. The hybrid’s silhouette, a version of the GTB with a removable roof, plays on both elegance and raciness. On board, the focus is quite simply fun behind the wheel.
Lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration, gear shifting, braking, engine sound in the cabin... Five factors that determine driving pleasure for the brand of the Prancing Horse. The lines of the GTS are cleaner and even more sophisticated than those of the GTB.
This hybrid version open to the sky offers refined, simple architecture, a real tribute to 1960’s Ferraris such as the 250 LM of 1963, which has provided inspiration for the design of the B pillar, rear wings and Kamm tail. The cockpit was developed around the entirely digital interface concept which made its debut on the SF90 Stradale. Here, integration of technology is designed to give a more sophisticated effect.
Most of the on-board instrumentation is clustered together on the driver’s side. The display on the passenger side provides a participatory, almost co-driver-like experience. The cockpit is minimalist, but chic. 14 seconds suffice to retract the hard top at a speed of 45 km/h. The Ferrari 296 GTS attains a top speed of 335 km/h, 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Prices are expected to exceed those of the GTB, set from 271,000 €.
