Mercedes-AMG Project One
From track to street, there is just one step, taken with real delectation by this model equipped with five motors, four of them electric, delivering 1,000 hp under the hood, and hybrid technology inspired by Formula 1.
Over a year has passed since the Bavarian manufacturer presented its concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Today, the production version expected in the course of the year finally discloses some its secrets. Exclusiveness is the key word, as only a happy few - 300 at most - will be able to treat themselves to the One. It is even said that they have already completed their acquisitions, in exchange for 2.3 million euros.
Each detail in the design contributes to the overall performance of this impressive model, from its muscular curves to its wasp waist and elongated tail. The flat LED headlights complement the vertical shark fin. On board, colours and materials clearly reflect the world of racing and sacrosanct cockpits. In innovative, futuristic style, the two bucket seats clad in magma grey Nappa leather are separated by a central tunnel in carbon fibre. A 1.6-litre V6 hybrid petrol engine is accompanied by four electric motors, one integrated into the turbocharger, another installed on the combustion engine, and the last two driving the front wheels. All giving a total system output of 1,000 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in under 6 seconds, and a top speed of 350 km/h.
