Sublime Ferrari Daytona SP3
At the 24 Hours of Daytona 1967, three Ferraris took the top three places in the first round of the World Sportscar Championships. The Daytona SP3 now joins the Icona limited edition series.
The Daytona SP3 pays tribute to Ferrari prototypes with mid-rear V12 engines, delivering 840 hp beneath its hood. The F140HC is the most powerful internal combustion engine ever built by the Prancing Horse brand, joined by a 7-speed gearbox.
Inspired by racing models of the 1960’s, the Daytona SP3 offers monolithic volume, a magnificent witness to the know-how of the Italian coachbuilder. Its fluid masses blend effortlessly with sharper surfaces, giving perfect esthetic balance. As for the interior, minimalist styling goes hand-in-hand with comfort and elegance. The dashboard is also minimalist, but functional and contemporary.
The old seats that were once directly attached to the chassis have been given a facelift. Symbiosis between car and driver is 100%. The driving position is lower and less tense, while the car shatters power/weight records. It offers a top speed of 340 km/h, attaining 0-100 km/h in only 2.85 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.4 seconds. The Icona line, a real ode to the history of Ferrari, awards top priority to the design of Maranello’s most emblematic models.
The Daytona SP3 is the second in the genre after the Monza SP1 and SP2. The price is said to be close on 2 million euros. Yet all the models currently in production have already found takers.
