TOURBILLON, THE MOST POWERFUL BUGATTI ever

The aptly-named “Tourbillon”, or “whirlwind”, has made its widely noticed appearance. A naturally aspirated V16 engine holds its own with 3 electric motors. With “form following performance”, the model clearly benefits from the manufacturer’s 115 years of experience. The fine art of novelty, but always endowed with DNA 100 % Bugatti.

Emphasized by duotone paintwork, the Tourbillon’s silhouette is both streamlined, angular, curved, and sharp. Everything conveys power and dynamism, with 1800 hp under the hood. The center line runs from a wider grille, forming a flying buttress over the V16 engine bay.

The one-piece tail-light sees hot air vented out from beneath it. LED technology then revisits the Bugatti style with its “eight eyes”angled further downwards for the occasion, to enhance the Tourbillon’s wide, low line. The chassis combines unique design with ironclad solidity. Built of carbon composite, the monocoque borrows secrets of production from the aerospace industry. The model then owes its ultra-light suspension parts, resistance, endurance and agility, to 3D-printing.

The first buyers of the 250 models scheduled for production cannot expect to take delivery of their Tourbillon before 2026. 1800 hp is 300 more than the already highly impressive Chiron.

On a closer look, Formula 1 is not far away. The driver can choose between 100 % combustion, all-electric and hybrid. This masterpiece of aerodynamics and power can hit a top speed of 445 km/h with no need for a raised rear wing. It chalks up 0-100 km/h in only 2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in less than 5 seconds. The dihedral doors self-open electrically by request, preserving aerodynamic integrity. Swiss horologists set their elegant signature to the instrument cluster, and the driver can also choose to bring out a digital screen. “Nothing is too beautiful”… The words of Ettore Bugatti seem to have informed this stunning Tourbillon. Equally stunning, the price is whispered to be “3.8 M €”.
