Fashionable location at the heart of the “Golden Triangle”
In a handsome freestone building, this elegant apartment, ready to move in, offers an enviable location close to Avenue Montaigne and the Champs Elysées. Designed by Gérard Faivre, it basks in an atmosphere of luxury and voluptuousness, borrowing the codes of “Haute Couture” with remarkable flair.
By reorganizing the decor of this Haussmann apartment with lots of assets, Gérard Faivre has succeeded in creating perfect harmony between a magnificent succession of lounges and the two elegant suites. Inspired by “Haute Couture” premises, the “Art Home-maker” has left nothing to chance, fashioning a setting in which the blending of textures and lines masterfully sculpts the space with a highly esthetic approach as its base. The tone is set as soon as one steps inside. Rather like a fitting room, it is adorned with imposing mirrors and dress-maker’s mannequins, with a sublime carpet in a houndstooth pattern, and a large, padded leather pouffe in the centre. Further on, the TV lounge with its large corner sofa and the reception room bask in natural daylight, both following the same theme with furnishings in contemporary shapes and a judicious choice of pictures and sculptures which accompany the “Haute Couture” style, focusing on women and the precious fabrics which are the cornerstones of designs. Lofty volumes, lovely high ceilings, marble hearths, mouldings… Gérard Faivre has exploited all the attributes offered by this Haussmann apartment to present it at its very best. Elegance rediscovered in the two suites. Velvety cocoons in perfect harmony with the rest of the apartment, they convey both warmth and glamour by also borrowing a palette of sober colours, blending black, grey, white and beige in a profusion of sensual fabrics. Thanks to its noble materials, such as marble for the work surface in the kitchen and the bathrooms, glass and crystal for the ceiling and wall lights, leather and the many made-to-measure mirrors, the apartment offers sophistication, allows for both congeniality and intimacy, and threads through all its rooms subtle references to the world of “Haute Couture”. In modern geometry, fabrics, colours, artworks and decorative objects, Gérard Faivre has deployed, coherently and unostentatiously, his original source of inspiration. “Art and fashion accompany me in all my undertakings,” explains Gérard Faivre. “Here, the apartment’s proximity to the Champs Elysées and Avenue Montaigne inspired this “couture” project, brimming with little details that tip their hat to fashion. I wanted to re-interpret classic French elegance and the aura of the “Golden Triangle” whose influence has spread all over the world and is highly-prized by foreign clients.”
