For the first time in its history, the legendary perfume bottle designed by Mademoiselle Chanel abandons transparency in favour of an incandescent robe for the duration of a limited edition in tinted red glass. Until February 28th, Piaget proposes an elegant pop-up store under the enchanting cupola in the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. Born in Taiwan, the daughter of a sculptor and businesswoman, Cindy Chao launched her brand of jewellery in 2004. This year, the Riviera-based pool builder Diffazur has again won several French and European prizes for the quality and originality of its achievements. This free-form pool built of reinforced concrete and surrounded by a deck of wooden coping has just received the “Coup de Cœur” of the editorial press at the last Intramuros Design Awards. On the first floor of L’Allénothèque, the new restaurant of star-rated chef Yannick Alléno, the Scène Ouverte gallery, founded by Laurence Bonnel, is accessible from the dining-room. An interior decorator since 2015 with a studio in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Bérengère Leroy specializes in made-to-measure fabric sofas. Producing her own materials in the workshops, she offers designs characterized by an astute dose of Bohemianism and classicism for sofas that last a long time with a highly contemporary twist. In 2016, Bovet unveiled the spectacular Recital 18 Shooting Star tourbillon. Combining its movement with an asymmetrical case, it revolutionized watch design. To throw new light on its collection of perfumes, Mizensir has decided to leave its premises and spend the summer in an ephemeral setting on the ground floor of Printemps Haussmann. Borrowing the codes of the iconic boutique in Geneva, this showcase presents flagship items from the line created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas, including “Musc Eternel”, “L’Envers du Paradis”, the spell-binding “Perfect Oud” and ultra-fresh “Mythique Vetyver”. A new Made-in-France brand of natural treatments for men, Archiman has moved into a warm concept apartment at the heart of Saint-Tropez for the summer. From the latest collection by La Chance, a French furniture firm created in 2012, these pieces assert their presence through a subtle combination of materials and elements both refined and massive. Designs such as the “Salute” occasional table, “Tembo” stool and “Magnum” table brilliantly blend inspirations dear to the company’s two founders : Art Deco and the Memphis movement of the 1980’s. Designed by the well-known architectural firm Humbert & Poyer of Monaco, the new Sabrina Monte-Carlo “art of the table” boutique of 250 m2 and the adjacent Lalique Monte-Carlo boutique sport a monochrome look based on white lacquer with black and white marble. The porcelain company Raynaud Limoges is paying homage to Jean Cocteau, poet, designer, painter and playwright, a dedicated fan of the Côte d’Azur. His drawings representing Orpheus, Eurydice, Proteus and Antinous adorn a delicate collection of ceramics comprised of plates, dishes, bowls, cups and trays. Parmigiani Fleurier occupies one of the showcases at the new concept-store “Nous”, a real shopping phenomenon on Rue Cambon. Here, the Swiss watchmaker offers an exclusive presentation of its new model, the Bugatti Type 390. The Duncan fashion boutique is the first in France to open a space devoted to American designer John Varvatos. After winning his spurs with Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, he proposes a complete line of high-end fashion for men inspired by the world of rock. Christian Lacroix Maison pursues its quest for fantasy and demonstrates its unbridled talent by dreaming up the decor for the home of a botanist with a romantic soul, fond of distant travels.
