The young Franco-Polish brand of furnishings has set up its showroom in a mansion in the 9th arrondissement to present the finest examples in its collection. Founded by a pair of designers/manufacturers, Belnette innovates by offering its clients the possibility of introducing something of themselves into each of the items. How ? Recalling his crazy nights at the Club Faubourg de Montmartre when he arrived in Paris at the end of the 1970’s, Jean-Claude Jitrois has taken inspiration from muses such as Amanda Lear, Jerry Hall and Grace Jones to design a collection of dresses and trapeze-shaped mini-skirts in velvety stretch suede decorated with flowers or animals. Synonymous with very high-end audio and video products, Bang & Olufsen has travelled through time and trends while focusing on technology at the service of design. On the occasion of its 90th anniversary, the Danish brand is proposing six of its most famous offerings in a new colour : golden rose. After the Majestic Hotel, Van Cleef & Arpels is moving into a luxurious space on the Croisette. This boutique of 215 m2 has been designed as a precious showcase surrounded by eleven windows on the outside. With the same focus on style but with more designers - that’s the new approach initiated by Kann Design which is pursuing its go-ahead career by hosting the offerings of about 30 carefully selected European designers and artists in its fully restructured and refitted boutique-showroom. The iconic Dyptique boutique has retained its lovely ruby-coloured frontage and green eau-de-nil interior while treating itself to a facelift by refreshing its fittings and changing a few decorative details. A first boutique with a floor area of 160 m2 displaying exclusive collections of textiles and designer furnishings ideally suited to Parisian apartments. Run by Jacques Barret, the Triode Showroom proves that American design does not stop at Eames or Knoll. From one season to the next, it invites us to discover creations by US designers and editors such as Lindsey Adelman, Jason Miller, Bec Brittain, David Weeks, Bassam Fellows, Rich Brilliant Willing… An enticing panorama, opening the doors to a certain transatlantic art of living. To mark the centenary of the birth of Tapio Wirkkala, a key figure in Finnish design, the timeless “Bird” table is being brought out again by Poltrona Frau. Flowers from Rosebud have treated themselves to a little escapade from the Place de l’Odéon to Rue de Bourgogne. In this second boutique adorned with poetic paintings by Laurence Amélie, one again finds the distinctive style of the founding trio, all inspired by the same esthetic vision : beautiful country-style bouquets, wild or sophisticated, enhanced by foliage and other original plants.
