HANTAÏ RÉTROSPECTIVE

Marking the centenary of the birth of Simon Hantaï (1922 - 2008), the Louis Vuitton Foundation is presenting an unprecedented retrospective, organized in collaboration with the artist’s family. Comprised of over 130 works, including several large formats never exhibited until now, the selection focuses on the years 1957 to 2000. Influences decisive for Hantaï’s development are highlighted through the presentation of works by Henri Matisse and Jackson Pollock. Another important element : an unprecedented “in situ” intervention by Daniel Buren, entitled “Mur(s) pour Simon, travaux in situ en six mouvements”. A magnificent tribute. Jusqu’au 29 août.
