Revolving around the concept of "the island", this exhibition imagined by Jean-Marie Gallais explores an essential driver behind creativity : the distancing of reality to reveal inner feelings. Over 80 works by about 50 artists (Anna-Eva Bergman, Roy Lichtenstein, Auguste Rodin, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alexander Calder...) comprise this exhibition confronting vistors with an imaginary, floating world.
