The first retrospective in France dedicated to Mark Rothko (1903 - 1970) since that held by the Modern Art Museum of the City of Paris in 1999, this exhibition presents some 115 works from the finest international collections, both private and institutional, in particular Washington's National Gallery of Art, the Tate in London, the Philips Collection, and the collection of the artist's family.
