Jean-Louis Sacco and Marie-Brigitte Duvernoy, piano-makers and “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” restore collectors’ gems here in Nice (Pleyel, Gaveau, Erard and Boisselot & Fils). Tired of seeing some late 18th-century models demolished, which no-one plays any more but which have retained their beautiful woodwork, they came up with the idea of dismantling them and making Dadaist sculptures.
