The fascinating “Pionnières” exhibition sheds light on women artists in Paris in the Roaring ‘Twenties. On the sidelines for too long, they played a vital part in the emergence of major artistic movements without, however, being recognized in their lifetimes. Producing paintings, sculpture and films, the 45 artists highlighted in this exhibition have now won recognition. Tamara de Lempicka, Suzanne Valadon, Marie Laurencin and Gerda Wegener are represented in compelling works.Jusqu’au 10 juillet.
