A year after the explosion on August 4th, 2020, which devastated the port of Beirut, the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris has paid homage to the vitality and resilience of the Lebanese art scene. With this exhibition, it honours the prodigious creativity of modern and contemporary artists from Lebanon’s independence from France in 1943 to the present day.
