Alma Biarritz : in all confidentiality
Born of an encounter between two women, Susanne Danker Lassen and Charlotte Bernard-Moitier, Alma Biarritz functions without agency windows and has met with real success since its launch just one year ago. Its strength lies in its founders’ network, offering a demanding clientele rare and high-quality properties on the French Basque coast.
No agency but a solid network was the starting-point for these two women who embarked upon their real estate adventure in the summer of 2019. Behind Alma Biarritz, we find Susanne Danker Lassen of Danish origin, who has lived in the Basque country for 25 years, working in different sectors of real estate. And Parisian Charlotte Bernard-Moitier, who moved to Biarritz 15 years ago, specializing in prestige real estate. Inspired by their close friendship, the same vision of their profession, and real sensitivity for design and architecture, they set up Alma Biarritz. “Alma”, after the name of their respective grandmothers : “Our company’s name pays tribute to our grandmothers, it couldn’t have been anything else !” explains Charlotte Bernard-Moitier. “Susanne and I are highly complementary and share the same values. We build relationships based on trust with our clients, insisting on transparency, deontology and discretion. We are both deeply involved in our work, efficient and rigorous ; we love what we do.” On the subject of the market, Susanne Danker Lassen confides : “We are clearly working in a very promising market, even more so since the Covid-19 crisis. Quality living conditions on the French Basque coast are increasingly prized by city-dwellers. Many Parisians have in fact made Biarritz their main home. Over the past few years, the region’s clientele has changed considerably : locals, retirees and foreigners have been joined by new buyer profiles aged between 30 and 45, from the movie and digital worlds. Towns like Biarritz and Saint Jean de Luz are targeted by many demands, though the nearby countryside is drawing more and more buyers. The price bracket in the region is quite wide, ranging from 6,000 to 20,000 € per sq.m for properties benefiting from magnificent locations. Due to the size of the market and the rarity of available properties, we do not foresee any decline in prices”.
