Founded in Paris in 1998, Ateliers Lofts & Associés is an agency specializing in lofts, artists’ studios and contemporary properties. In 2009, it inaugurated a branch in Biarritz, also focusing on this market sector. At the helm, Julie Lamboley, assisted by two collaborators who share the same convictions and run this 100% feminine agency concentrating exclusively on modernity and strikingly original homes.
An enthusiastic young woman of 37, very much of her day and age, with 10 years’ experience in real estate, Julie Lamboley manages the agency in Biarritz with sensitivity and efficiency. An agency which stands out for a selection of properties with decidedly modern attributes : “We give preference to open-space layout, generous volumes and lots of light. Lofts, houses designed by architects, classic Basque homes which have been renovated throughout, and properties awaiting rehabilitation (entire floors, warehouses, workshops) thus comprise our portfolio, which covers a wide range of budgets. It is one of the agency’s basic principles to offer a broad range of prices - from small lofts of 45 m2 at 200,000 € to fabulous houses designed by architects at 2,500,000 € -, and to remain true to our identity by sometimes refusing certain properties which do not correspond to our philosophy. In our agency, selections are made on the basis of love at first sight !” Acting like a magnet for clients from Paris, Toulouse and Bordeaux, the agency also attracts a good number of young local families, retirees, and a few buyers wanting to invest in seasonal rentals. A vast and very buoyant market, but also highly competitive : “There are 160 estate agencies in Biarritz and therefore lots of competition,” explains Julie Lamboley. “The Basque country is very popular, but availabilities are pretty limited. Prices are high, becoming steadily closer to those in Paris, especially in fashionable areas such as the Espagne neighbourhood, currently in high demand.”
