Daniel Féau : on-going expansion
A major player in luxury and high-end real estate for over 70 years, the Daniel Féau group inaugurated three new agencies in 2020 and is enlarging the one in the Marais. Initiatives that underscore its development in highly-prized neighbourhoods in the capital and the provinces. Encounter with Nicolas Pettex-Muffat, General Manager of the Groupe Féau et Belles Demeures de France.
When Nicolas Pettex-Muffat is asked what is the key to Daniel Féau’s success, he replies : “The loyalty of clients we accompany all along their residential path, which is often handed down from one generation to the next ; loyalty which is itself closely related to that of Féau team members, who all share the group’s basic values”. A state of mind which resulted, in 2019, in the Féau group handling almost 50% of Parisian sales over and above 4 million euros, almost 30% of sales between 2 and 4 million euros, and over 600 sales between 500,000 and 2 million euros. Success which led to the opening of three new agencies in 2020. One on the Avenue des Ternes which reinforces coverage of the 17th arrondissement by Daniel Féau, which had already opened an agency in 1990 in the Plaine Monceau neighbourhood. Another in Versailles, enabling all Féau teams to offer their buyers in search of spaciousness and greenery a property of character in Versailles, but also communes such as Le Chesnay, Le Vésinet or Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Finally, the third, in Lourmarin, marking the group’s presence in Provence. As part of this same momentum, the agency in the Marais, based for 21 years on Rue de Turenne, was enlarged and stands out for its diverse selection of properties in this neighbourhood highly-prized for its “walk everywhere” lifestyle. Despite the Covid crisis, Nicolas Pettex-Muffat explains that he is not worried about the Parisian market : “As a matter of fact, few Parisians have left the city to settle in the country. Almost all the moves we saw involve nearby areas. For example : some owners left their apartments in the centre of Paris for houses in the 16th arrondissement, Neuilly, Saint-Cloud or Versailles. We are still seeing a market where demand outstrips supply, especially for large family apartments. And prices have not changed for this type of property, with flawless apartments still selling very quickly. In June, during the confinement, apartments with pretty terraces sold within a few hours ! I think that after our second lockdown, the market will again be very lively. Especially as international clients will ultimately be able to make a comeback”.
