EMILE GARCIN : 60 YEARS OF HISTORY
Present in the most desirable regions of France but also abroad, a pioneer in properties of character, the Emile Garcin group can lay claim to six decades of adventures in real estate. Born in the south of France, this family enterprise has achieved spectacular development, and shines brightly in Paris. Meet the group’s President, Nathalie Garcin…
Since last spring, celebrations have been on-going with Emile Garcin partners to honour the 60th anniversary of this group with 35 agencies and a network of 140 collaborators : “2023 is a special year for us, marking the group’s 60 years of activity,” says Nathalie Garcin.
“Sixty years represents a good stretch of our father’s life, but also mine and that of my brothers, Emmanuel and Antoine ! I arrived in 1989, creating the first Emile Garcin agency in Paris, and I am still very happy to belong to this profession. The market has changed a great deal, we have adapted each time, but have remained true to our values, and totally independent. Our group functions in unison : a client entering one of our agencies in Paris, the Alpilles or in Normandy will be welcomed in just the same way.”

On the subject of the Parisian market, Nathalie Garcin explains : “The market in Paris is no longer homogeneous, but split : properties with major defaults are seeing substantial declines in their worth. On the other hand, luxury properties are selling as readily as ever, and at high prices. The crisis is not affecting the high-end sector, while the middle of the range is seeing a real slowdown. While demand is still strong for elegant arrondissements on the Left Bank, the 6th and 7th, as well as the 16th, 8th and 1st on the Right Bank, lively neighbourhoods in the 10th and 11th arrondissements are now attracting real enthusiasm.
They are popular among a clientele of younger, actively employed people who want to get off the beaten track and distance themselves from the traditional Haussmann apartment. The 10th and 11th arrondissements offer remarkable, unusual properties : lofts and artists’ studios offering hundreds of square
metres, whose appeal is constantly on the rise.”
