EMILE GARCIN : A NEW AGENCY IN MEGÈVE
With agencies in the loveliest regions of France and attractive towns around the world, the Emile Garcin group, founded in 1963 in Saint-Rémy de Provence, has just opened a new address in Megève. Its reputation, the quality of its network and its image as a family enterprise all impressed Pierre Deleuse, appointed Manager of this agency launched in February, 2019…
A resort chosen by the Rothschild family since 1920 as a holiday destination, Megève continues to exercise its strong appeal among buyers in search of second residences. Already benefiting from wide visibility on a market it has explored for several years, Emile Garcin reinforced its presence in early 2019 with the inauguration of this agency managed by Pierre Deleuse, a highly professional expert who can claim in-depth knowledge of the region. “Offering the charm of a village both authentic and elegant, Megève stands out for its wide architectural diversity encompassing magnificent chalets and high-quality apartments, all perfectly integrated into this remarkable site,” says Pierre Deleuse. “The focal point of the market is the centre of the village, enabling buyers to enjoy a “walk everywhere” lifestyle, and giving skiers easy access to the slopes thanks to the cable-car just behind the Place de l’Église. The village ambiance, its chic but discreet charm, its stylishness and the quality of its shops all attract a high-end, but unostentatious, clientele. As well as in the centre of the village, clients are shared out evenly between the three mountains : Le Mont d’Arbois, a prestigious and historic address adopted by the Rothschild family, the Massif de Rochebrune and Massif du Jaillet. Now stable, average prices in Megève are around 8,000 € per sq.m, though here at Emile Garcin we more often post 10,000 to 15,000 € per sq.m due to the status of the properties we propose. Over the past few months, there has been a good rise in availabilities with a considerable number of new developents and renovations, together with the opening of luxury hotel establishments such as the Four Seasons. Our clients come from Geneva, Lyon and Paris, and on the international scene, we see Anglo-Saxon, Belgian and Dutch buyers, who have always been fond of the resort. We have also noticed a rising number of clients from the Middle East and Eastern Europe.”
