FINE & COUNTRY IN FRANCE
Based in Cannes for the past 10 years, this family-run agency now has a staff of 15, an international team active from Menton to Saint-Tropez, not forgetting the back-country, Mougins, Valbonne, Grasse, and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Encounter with Alice Watson-Smith…
Alice Watson-Smith was born and grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe. A country that her family was forced to leave. Her parents then chose to live in Cannes, while Alice decided to embark on her career in real estate in Cape Town, South Africa. At the end of 2012, she took the decision with her parents and husband to launch a branch of Fine & Country in the Festival City.
The first in the network to operate in France, already offering over 300 offices in all four corners of the globe. Its credo ? The Fine & Country network proposes a unique selection of the loveliest prestige properties on the Côte d’Azur and worldwide, from high-end villas to estates of real charm, in authentic old stone or tasteful contemporary style. All with an underlying theme : founded on in-depth knowledge of the local property market, the team of multilingual and highly qualified professionals provides top-quality service, in luxury conciergerie style.
“Over and beyond a simple transaction, we guide clients in their choice of a lifestyle, the constitution of a legacy, or even a radical change in their everyday lives.” The agency at the heart of Cannes covers the Côte d’Azur and Provence, offering a finely-tuned selection of luxury villas, country residences, houses on the seafront, and investment properties. Whether contemporary or “Belle Epoque”, a villa of 500 m² in the neighbourhood of La Californie in Cannes, in grounds of 2,000 m² with a sea view, starts from 5 million euros. In the hinterland, ie. the chic suburbs of Cannes, stylish properties ranging from 2 to 5 million euros have their fans.
The market is buoyant, supported by both French and foreign buyers. A fairly-priced property sells without delay. “The price of success for an address prized worldwide, benefitting from an international airport, bluechip value in the centre of Europe, enjoying an idyllic natural setting and a micro-climate envied by all.”
