IN THE BEGINNING, THERE WAS LOVE…
The founder of Amanda Properties, a woman, mother and accomplished company director, looks back on the creation of an agency soon two decades old, and on her life : an encounter that turned her world upside down, love that inspired her, and a destiny involving human values and shared emotions.
The tale began when the 23 year-old lawyer crossed paths with a man. At the head of the Optima network, he became her friend, lover, husband and professional partner. He became her mentor. In her, he saw potential and, no doubt, one of the greatest qualities in both professional and private life : empathy.
When the time came to hand over Optima to a banking group, Amanda came into her own. The love of her life, now passed on, advised her to capitalize on her first name. Which is how she is known in Cannes, how she would attain her own personal success. Amanda Properties came into being in 2006. When talking about management, the woman who pairs professional performance with four children refers to the family.
“I manage the company and my team of about ten as if they were family, with attentiveness, care and support. It is a way of approaching the world, and also applies to clients. This human approach is fundamental in our work.” She has also passed on her love of real estate, which led her to this vocation, and the love she received : her eldest daughter is a developer in Bali, her son works for Amanda Properties, her two younger children still have time to choose. Amanda believes in the value of work itself, in regularity, steadfastness and honesty. She mentions her duty to provide information and advice, and considers that the client relationship goes well beyond handing over the keys. It is a long road on planet Property, a path strewn with pitfalls. An extra touch of sensitivity makes all the difference. “Especially since, on the upper end of the market in Cannes, clients no longer need to sell any more than they need to buy. It is an investment purely for pleasure.
This approach requires real finesse.” In conclusion, she adds : “The market is finally stirring after months of sluggishness, transactions that bode well are being completed”.
