On the subject of the market, Julie confides : “We are confronted by a very tight market, scarce offerings and an explosion in demand. The market has changed since the crisis, as requests almost exclusively for holiday homes have been replaced by almost entirely French buyers (above all from Paris) in search of semi-permanent or even permanent residences. Ideally, these buyers would like a house or an apartment near the beach, but above all with outdoor areas, a terrace or garden, in peaceful surroundings.
Today, properties without outdoor areas are much less popular, fetching from 5,000 to 7,000 € per sq.m. On the other hand, for apartments in highly-prized neighbourhoods such as Le Moulleau, Le Pyla, Pereire or Les Abatilles, prices easily attain 10,000 €/ per sq.m. As for houses, the starting-price is well beyond 1 million euros, and in fact rather closer to 1.5 million euros”.
