Opened in April 2007 by Joseph Arida, this agency with a self-explanatory name focuses on the luxury property market in Paris and is characterized for its tailormade service and a solid network of privileged contacts both in France and on the international scene. Interview with its founder who sets the accent on relationhips based on confidentiality and reinstates the all-round scope of the concept of assistance.
After winning his spurs in property development and renowned Parisian agencies, Joseph Arida co-managed the sale of the most fabulous property in Paris (approx. 25,000 sq. metres) in 2006, situated on Avenue Montaigne. The flamboyant success of this project and his meeting with a high-end asset manager gave him the idea of launching his own agency. Odgamm came into being in 2007 : “I position myself as a boutique-agency where each client, whether buyer or seller, benefits from a tailormade approach. I have in fact made it my signature theme, with the Latin expression “Intuitu Personae”, which implies “focusing on the person”. I also look upon the notions of discretion and confidentiality as being of prime importance. Trust is the driving-force behind property transactions and my 18 years of experience in the market in Paris are a reassuring asset in the eyes of the clientele”. Backed by principles borrowed from American and British models, Joseph Arida also sets great store on collaboration with other agencies for the benefit of his clients, and adopts an open-minded approach to Europe in order to cover new markets : “60% of my clients are international, looking for secure investments in blue-chip cities like Paris, where most of our activity is concentrated, but also Berlin, where we have been handling new luxury properties for the past three years”. Confident about the future, Joseph Arida points out that the market in Paris is particularly buoyant : “Paris is an enticing city that sets people dreaming. Its charm continues to work its spell on foreigners, and prices on the Parisian market are still affordable as compared to other large cities around the world. I am very optimistic about the future, and our figures bear me out. Our sales volume has risen 20% over the past few months”.
