SUMMER WITH PARIS SEINE
Composed of five agencies in Paris, three located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Paris Seine group has always asserted its fondness for top-notch neighbourhoods since its launch in 1995. Open throughout the summer, Paris Seine agencies directed by Frédéric Jaubert and Michel Kessler are inspired by high demands and a sense of perfectionism. Encounter…
Intent on providing all-round service of quality for its clientele, the Paris Seine group has gotten into the habit of remaining available throughout the summer. “Working in August is very soothing,” says Frédéric Jaubert. “People entering our agencies are much more relaxed, not rushed off their feet : we make some great encounters at this time of the year.” Focusing on prestige properties, the group shares the same passion as its clients for the heart of Paris, and provides comprehensive assistance in their search for properties to buy or rent.
“Introduced 15 years ago, our rental department has met with real success. Initially, it was simply proposed as a service though, over time, demand increased and it became more wide-ranging. More and more foreigners want to experience the Parisian adventure, coming to live in Paris for a year or two while teleworking. American, but also Asian clients (from South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore), are very active on this market. They are looking for a spacious apartment, fully equipped, and tastefully furnished, in a lively, attractive neighbourhood in Paris. For this type of high-quality property, one can expect to pay from 2,000 to 6,000 euros per month, which can rise to over 10,000 euros for exceptional apartments. This demanding clientele is ready to pay higher prices for these apartments if they offer top-notch quality and an ideal location. For us, it is also a guarantee of having sound tenants,” explains Frédéric Jaubert.

On the subject of the Parisian market, he adds : “The month of May was rather complicated due to holidays and long weekends. And interest rates are continuing to rise. This creates a problem, as it significantly reduces buyers’ budgets, though what is more problematic is that rates are not stabilizing. Today, between the search for an apartment and signing on the dotted line, the situation changes, which is very frustrating for clients. Despite all this, sales go through, even if they take longer. The issue of refurbishment then also poses a problem, especially with new regulations concerning diagnostics, as there is a real lack of advice and expertise in the field. The current context is far from idyllic, though it will enable certain points to be redefined. More than ever before, we aim to offer quality, instigate a real dialogue, and be
capable of providing adequate responses”. n
