The AIM agency celebrates its 50th anniversary
At the heart of Chamonix, the Agence Immobilière Moderne launched in 1967 by Gérard Comte is now directed by his daughter Brigitte, who can pride herself on its fine reputation in the valley. Backed by values borrowed from family enterprises, AIM is run by a feminine team inspired by a passion for real estate and the mountains...
“Offering our clients a friendly welcome, ensuring meticulous, high-quality follow-up for each transaction whether it concerns a studio or a chalet worth 3 million euros, that is what we care about,” says Brigitte Comte. Heading up this family agency this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, she offers a French and international clientele a wide array of properties in Chamonix and its surrounding hamlets, just as highly prized. “We cover a large area extending from Vallorcine to Passy via Argentière, Chamonix and Les Houches. Prestige real estate in Chamonix is to be found in highly-prized neighbourhoods such as Les Praz, Les Bois, Les Moussoux…, coveted for their magnificent locations offering remarkable views of the mountain range and spectacular sunshine.” At the foot of Mont Blanc, transactions maintain a steady pace and prices are on the rise, whether for small studios targeted by investors, or cosy apartments and luxury chalets sought after by mountain-lovers and clients with high purchasing power looking for holiday homes : “The property market in Chamonix and throughout the region is mainly comprised of second residences,” confirms our specialist. “The French clientele (mostly Parisian and ex-pats) shares the market equally with foreigners, mainly Swiss, Belgian and British. Chamonix offers the special feature of being a resort with easy access, lively year-round. It has a very authentic side, a “congenial mountain” atmosphere which, however, excludes neither sophistication nor elegance.”
