The Monniers and Cap d’Antibes

The aptly- named Agence du Cap d’Antibes is a an essential port of call for fans of this cape known for its lush vegetation. The 1,500 members of the happy few who live here share a wooded area of about 9.2 acres lapped by the Mediteranean.

In May 2019, the Agence du Cap d’Antibes, with Aurélien and Thomas Monnier at the helm since 1998, became a franchise of John Taylor, a group acquired by Artcurial 150 years after its creation. Active in 12 different countries and chalking up a sale every 10 hours, the John Taylor label is synonymous with global visibility. “I was honoured that its representatives saw in our agency the expert on Antibes, the Cape and Juan-les-Pins,” recalls Aurélien Monnier. “We then benefited in a single click from a file of almost 8,000 references all over the world and a real network of investors. After the first lockdown, Cap d’Antibes won wide acclaim : French and European buyers were aiming for a sunny destination, easily accessible and politically stable, safe in terms of health and benefiting from the finest hospitality infrastructures. They all demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the market and are looking for a sound investment. More than ever, the time has come for prime locations and safe havens. Clients from America, the Emirates and Qatar are also showing interest, waiting for the chance to travel here without any restrictions. Most buyers invest from 1 to 5 million euros in properties on Cap d’Antibes. A villa of 150-200 m2 opening out to grounds of 1,200-1,500 m2, offering four or five bedrooms and a glimpse of the sea, will find takers at prices from 3 to 4 million euros. Le Parc du Cap and La Villa Chêne Roc, very luxurious residences with panoramic sea views, indoor and outdoor pools for the first, have also met with real success. An apartment of 80-110 m2 benefiting from a terrace and a plunging view of the deep blue sea ranges from 1.5 to 2 million euros.”
