The Right Bank market as seen by Gabrielle Dorfmann
Comprised of arrondissements with a high level of appeal, including the 8th with its iconic “Golden Triangle”, the Right Bank of Paris confirms its popularity and real dynamism. Interview with Gabrielle Dorfmann who explores the finest neighbourhoods of Paris and covers both banks of the Seine.
Running two agencies of the same name in the 7th arrondissement, Gabrielle Dorfmann, a specialist for the Left Bank, is planning to open a third branch on the Right Bank in the coming months : “This new agency will consolidate our presence in arrondissements where we already propose properties, such as the 8th, 16th north, the 17th, and Neuilly”. Drawing strong interest from both French and foreign buyers, these arrondissements post high prices, clearly on the rise since 2017 : “In the “Golden Triangle”, highly sought-after by international clients looking for pieds-à-terre, prices range from 14,000 to 30,000 € per sq. metre for impeccable apartments. We recently sold a fully renovated pied-à-terre of 60 m2 on Rue Marbeuf, priced at 19,000 € per sq.m. The northern part of the 16th is targetted by a clientele of French families in search of large apartments, while foreigners look here for high-end apartments ideally offering a view of a landmark. The price bracket here is 11,000 to 16,000 € per sq.m. The 17th attracts French families drawn by its community life, the closeness of schools and Parc Monceau, with prices ranging from 10,000 to 14,000 € per sq.m. As for Neuilly, offering a prestigious property market with many apartments benefiting from terraces and parking facilities, prices are attractive as compared with Paris, ranging from 9,000 to 14,000 € per sq.m. We recently sold a lovely apartment of 150 m2 extended by a terrace in Neuilly, with a parking place, priced at 12,000 € per sq.m.” Gabrielle Dorfmann describes the Parisian market as : “Very promising, with a visible return on the part of foreign buyers, especially English and American, but also tense due to rising prices over the past months, making buyers even more demanding.
