Situated at the very heart of Le Marais, the Villaret Immobilier agency was launched in 1996 by brothers Vincent and François-Régis Moussion, formerly of the contemporary art market. Which no doubt explains the esthetic motivations they both share. Encounter with an avant-garde duo on the eve of the 20th anniversary of their family enterprise.
Between the walls of their historic agency on a lively shopping street in the Marais, what is instantly striking is its stylishness. Characterized by designer furnishings and original contemporary artworks, the agency sends out strong signals of a cool sense of esthetics : “Sensitivity towards art is pretty much in our genes !” admit the Moussion brothers. A high dose of good taste, also evident in their other two Parisian branches, in the Saint-Paul neighbourhood and 12th arrondissement, near Square Trousseau. Nestling in these trendy, bustling neighbourhoods, Villaret Immobilier has scooped up the very heart of Paris in its nets : “The properties we propose for sale or rent are mostly located in central arrondissements in Paris. We work on the basis of “love at first sight” when selecting apartments : we immediately respond to strong identities, places with a soul and stylishness”. With regard to the trend taken by the Parisian market, they comment : “Since the crisis, the market has benefited from a good clean-out, and we have finally escaped from the highly restrictive notion of prices per square metre. Faultless properties sell easily, and at high prices ; on the other hand, those with defects have seen sharp declines over the past few months. Most Parisians are now looking for bright, quiet apartments, conveniently located in lively neighbourhoods. We have also noticed a real need for proximity and personal contact, with clients depending less on the Internet and returning to estate agencies. This notion of real relationships lies at the heart of our approach : for us, the human side is essential, it forms part of all our transactions”.
